Four nights at White Pearl Resorts is just long enough to settle into the rhythm of Mozambique's Lagoon Coast, and to experience more of what makes this place distinct. The White Pearl Signature Stay brings together an ocean-facing suite with a private plunge pool, relaxed dining, time on an unspoilt beach, a 30-minute massage, an Ocean Safari in search of the wild marine life of Ponta Mamoli and more.
Ocean Safaris at White Pearl Resorts

The Indian Ocean Bustles with Marine Life!
Humpback whales pass our stretch of the Ponta Mamoli coastline on their annual migration between July and November, and this is the part of the season when the newborn calves start showing off. Then there are the dolphins!
Our resident bottlenose dolphins are entirely wild. They are never baited, never contained and never conditioned. They arrive because they choose to, stay as long as they are curious, and leave when they are done. Our Ocean Safaris are guided by qualified facilitators who have been diving this coastline for many years.
Where is Ponta Mamoli?
Ponta Mamoli sits on the far southern coastline of Mozambique, roughly two and a half hours by road from Maputo International Airport and a short drive from the Kosi Bay border post of South Africa.
Why these waters are different:
The ocean in front of Ponta Mamoli is a protected marine environment, and has been for some time.
Below the surface, our various PADI accredited dive sites sit within one of Mozambique's most protected marine environments. These waters form part of Maputo National Park, inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List in July 2025 as a transboundary extension of South Africa's iSimangaliso Wetland Park. Our reef sites see a fraction of the traffic that busier Indian Ocean destinations do, and the coral is healthier for it.
What you might experience on an ocean safari:
Sightings along this coastline are frequent (although we can never guarantee a sighting). Guests slip into water (weather permitting) so clear it feels less like the sea and more like an enormous natural aquarium. With dolphins moving through the blue around them, on their own business; turtles, rays and reef fish also make an appearance. Then comes the stillness afterwards, which people rarely see coming. It's a memory to last a lifetime.
Humpback whales pass this coastline on their annual migration between July and November each year. Whale watching is conducted from our snorkelling boat, and guests regularly see whales blowing, breaching, lob tailing and playing.
